We have asked for this since the release of Prophecies. I think Gaile Gray still plays a Ranger and probably wants it also!

Perhaps Gaile could tell us whether it is still a viable idea, or whether it is just much harder than it looks!

Sucks to have to turn in a pet you worked on just when you wish to change. I see no reason for having to do that, and see no downside to being able to keep multiple pets and choosing between them. Title for it? Ehh.. well, I am not against it. I'm just not sure I feel like doing it.

I kinda like the idea but don`t see it being implimented.

The way they see it is that it`s easy to lvl a pet up. Think I got that from when some peeps lost their pet in the pvp snowball thing from a bug.

I know where your coming from but you make your choice and either stick with it or lose it and start again with the lvling. The devs are not gonna change thier stance on this. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

On a side note do heroes keep their pet if you change secondary from ranger to another then back again.

If not I could collect pets by proxy a different one for each hero.

Or I could get a mob of black moas and freak out the npc in nightfall

But I also made the idea of switching our tamed pets through the Hall of Monuments at the Monument for Companions.
It should be no problem., once you put a Pet on that Monument, regardless if now Rainbow phoenix or only a simple Black Wolf (each one gets its entry) that when you click then the statues on the monument, that you get then asked by the system, if you want change your pets to that one, that you've clicked ...

This has always been asked for and always been denied us......

If wishes come true then maybe Anet will change there firm refusal to impliment multiple pets, but I really do not see this happening.

We already have a system to give festival hats to an NPC to hold them, so why not have a similar/identical system for pets?

We just need to tweak the pet trainer NPCs to hold our pets (instead of giving them away to the circus or what ever they do with them). Then we can have an option to choose between which one we use when we equip charm animal.

Its so simple I cant see why it isnt in play!

I cant see any balance issues because you can only use one pet at a time, and you need to speak to the NPC (and possible pay a small fee) to swap between them.

The only restrictions being a limit on how many we can store at one time, and only being able to store one of each pet.

And allow us to have individual names for them all! It can take a few days to evolve a pet, so its not really nice to have to start again each time.

I cant see it being that hard to add! Maybe also have a tiny icon in on screen to display with pet you have equipped. Obviously only if you have ranger and charm-animal equipped.

For instance a pheonix icon if its the pheonix, or a wolf icon if its the wolf!

Because ANet have more important things to worry about, namely skill balance, than adding pointless features to PvE.

As for the birds, they're actually an issue, minor, but nonetheless. The Rainbow Phoenixes, or whatever the hell they are called, are too large and seriously interfere with your vision in PvP. I found it incredibly difficult to monk against a team of 3 R/P with those stupid birds in TA. I've also heard they totally screw with your frame rates if you aren't running a good vid card. But ofc there's no rush, just keep it in mind ANet.

Do I hear the cry of a person saying PvP is more important then PvE? People see different things as being important and I actually think is fairly important and not hard to do.

Its been an issue since the start tbh and its never been touched on by Anet. I personally couldnt care less about balancing skills because i dont pvp and im happy with them.
